本作の主人公は、推理小説家に憧れながらも貧乏生活を送る平井太郎。のちに江戸川乱歩となる人物で、ひょんなことから出会った初老の名探偵・白井三郎とともに難事件に巻き込まれていく。。Juan, a prison officer, silently observes the visit every Sunday of Berta, mother of one of the imates. The day he finally approaches her, he surprises himself by pretending to be another visiting father and inventing a daughter inside the jail: Josefina. The need to fill the vacuum of their lives prompts Juan and Berta to continue meeting outside the reality around them.。
