鹰隼大队所选的都是全军一流飞行员，试飞员出身的马赫误打误撞进入了该大队，由于他军事素养很高，另一名尖子飞行员伍唯涛对其很不服气。大队长陈宁看在眼里，向大家提出了树立全局观念的要求。在一次执行反恐任务时，由于马赫先前有过在无奈之下击落战友飞机的经历，飞行中不断产生幻觉，受到批评后又与伍唯涛擅自发动攻击，最终被打入预备队，失去了战斗资格。被弃用的马赫回到老部队，在历经一番传统和现身说法的教育后，马赫认识到个人英雄主义的危害，他重返了鹰隼大队。当真正的战争任务降临时，马赫能重现鹰隼的辉煌吗......。When he learns his days are numbered old count Hervé de Kéraudren decides to hide in a secret alcove and to die there, just to annoy his heirs. As a result of his body not being found the latter will have to wait for five years until they can inherit the count's money. Very upsetting indeed, all the more as they are required to keep up the Kéraudren estate in the meantime.
